Cellphones. They've never been more popular than ever. Even with the current recession going on, it seems to be that they're recession-proof. Right? I definitley think so. We've got a ton of options and as far as smartphones go, we've got good options. Options like the HTC G1, Apple iPhone, Blackberry Storm, Palm Pre. I wish I had all these devices to play around with. Unfortunately, I don't. Is there a possible way to get all these devices and have mulitple networks without having to spend a crapload? Probably not. Though I believe that having one carrier with CDMA technology is what everyone should have, it's not what everyone else thinks. And because there are anti-trust laws in this country, then we're kinda forced to have options. Blah. Sometimes I wish we adapted Mexican laws so we could have a choice in phones, but not in wireless providers. I guess it would be a bad idea since prices would be up the butt.. But IMAGINE not having to worry about switching to get a different device. This is what MetroPCS believes is how wireless companies should run. Everyone having the same phone options, but not having to choose between wireless providers. Personally, I think they're just butt-chapped because they always get the crummy phone selections. In the end, no matter how much I rant, I believe everything will remain the same. Because if it didn't, then would this really be the United States of America?

BOGO BlackBerry
About a week a go a mega sale started happening at vzw. BOGO free any blackberry. Wow. now I know there would be a sale like this and here's my top 2 list as to why:
1. VZW wants to try and bring all BlackBerry devices to go out of stock. Why? New BlackBerry's!!
2. Verizon Wireless require their customers to a have data plan minimum $29.99. More BlackBerry users = more money, revenue. Personally, I think that verizon wireless is doing their part to keep the economy going.

Friends N Family
Verizon Wireless just announced today that they will be coming out with a new feature for price plans called Friends N Family or the other way around, whatever. To sum it all up: they will be adopting 'my circle' from alltel. And of course the only real reason why they will be doing this is because of the recent buyout vzw did. No doubt. The only problem with this plan is that you are forced to be under a 900 minute individual plan or 1400 family share plan or higher to benefit. Though some may think that this is unfair for the consumer, this is absolutely genius for a business. The only question I really have is if text messaging would be included. Most likely not.

Mobility means?
So I figured I should give a small disclosure as to what I mean by 'My Mobile Bloggz'. I will be posting news about mobile phones/ tech stuff or whatever I feel I should write about that affects me in the tech life. I know for sure that I won't be blogging about how I feel personally or what happened throughout the day (since that's what Twitter is for, right?). Apart from Mobile News blogging I will also be posting from my phone to enhance the feel of the name 'My Mobile Bloggz'. So there you go. Feel free to comment your opinions!

Verizon Wireless Layoffs
So according to mobile forum: HowardForums, layoffs have started to occur for Verizon Wireless.
BGR sums it up on their blog: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/02/10/verizon-wireless-in-the-midst-of-laying-off-employees/
I wish I knew how this thing worked. Is a good sales rep considered good for just the sales he/she does? If a customer encountered a good experience w/ the sales rep, then obviously the rep did good. Customer Satisfaction: This would bring the customer back to the same rep for repeated business therefore increasing sales for the rep throughout time. Now, how about those other reps who swindle customers into buying things? Sure at first the experience may be good for the customer.. but when the customer realizes that this isn't what they wanted, then for sure they'll probably go to a different sales rep.
I guess my question is this: Which rep gets the more sales? They good honest rep, or the naughty lying rep? Both should get business. But at what point does either rep start succeeding?
