This week a mainstream blogger announced that the new BlackBerry 9630 codenamed 'Niagra' was to be released as the BlackBerry Tour. I know for some of you reading this will stop and say.. ''Oh, another boring phone post". To those who do.. Fuck you.

This phone is the shit. I guess the main reason why this BlackBerry is coming out as the 'Tour' is because it's a world edition device (will be both GSM/CDMA). And that's not the only thing this baby will be packing. Apart from having a gobi-chip installed, it will also include GPS, WiFi, and possibly a 5MP camera [you say wut??]. The last feature is just a wish the BlackBerry world is wishing... actually I think WiFi is also out of the picture. The main thing that makes this BlackBerry THE BlackBerry is it's form factor. The size of this thing is said to be 'Perfect'. It's smaller than the Bold, but bigger than the Curve. It has the Bold's gorgeous screen and the Curve's excellent keyboard. This beauty will also be running OS 5.0 when released which is including many of the gestures the Storm currently holds. Metal.

If any of you don't really know how RIM assigns model #s to their phones, then here it is.. Any model # ending with '30' usually means that the device is headed to a CDMA carrier. Let's count the # of CDMA carrier we have in the U.S...

1 - Sprint
2 - Alltel
3 - Verizon Wireless

Now where do you think this phone will be headed to. Sprint?- If so, then that would be great for the company since as far as everyone knows, Sprint is going downhill- the only hope this company carries is the Palm Pre [super badass phone from the future which I think will never come since there's no release date. WTF]. I doubt The Tour will arrive at Sprint since it seems to be that the Pre is the only thing in their minds right now.

Alltel- Seeing how Verizon's recently announced of the aquisition of Alltel, I don't think it would be wise to release it to Alltel.. but maybe, who knows?

Verizon Wireless- That's right. All rumors, news feeds, major leaks show that the BlackBerry 'Tour' 9630 is coming soon.. to VZW.. when?? let's try June-July.. yeah, that close.

fat america

Ok. Here's a ticker. .

I was waiting for the bus and next to the bus stop there's this obese woman on a motorized car with a dog- I guess its the assisted liviing dog or something. So as we're waiting the woman gets up from her chair goes to the bacl of her motorized kart, grabs a pack of cigarettes. She sits down, lights up her stick and smokes away. Poor dog is there tied to a leash forced to smell her shit.
This whole time I'm thinking she's has some kind of walking disability but no. She's just fat. I would normally try to understand a person's disbility but I couldn't this time. Being fat shouldn't be recognized as a disability in the united states of America. People shouldn't be given mobile chairs and dogs to help them. These people should be given 3 story houses where the bedroom is on the third floor and the restroom is in the basement.
She obviously brought this upon herself. She chooses her lifestyle and unfortunately we have to adjust ourselves towards their choices.
So the bus gets there and of course the ramp comes down so she can wheel herself in. Makes people move from where they're sitting so she can land her mothher cart.

I know I'm packing a few extra pounds but even if I were to get to her size, I would hate to get a mobile cart. Its totally lazy. Its totally fat. This woman on the bus has no will for anything

[end rant]

Cellphones. They've never been more popular than ever. Even with the current recession going on, it seems to be that they're recession-proof. Right? I definitley think so. We've got a ton of options and as far as smartphones go, we've got good options. Options like the HTC G1, Apple iPhone, Blackberry Storm, Palm Pre. I wish I had all these devices to play around with. Unfortunately, I don't. Is there a possible way to get all these devices and have mulitple networks without having to spend a crapload? Probably not. Though I believe that having one carrier with CDMA technology is what everyone should have, it's not what everyone else thinks. And because there are anti-trust laws in this country, then we're kinda forced to have options. Blah. Sometimes I wish we adapted Mexican laws so we could have a choice in phones, but not in wireless providers. I guess it would be a bad idea since prices would be up the butt.. But IMAGINE not having to worry about switching to get a different device. This is what MetroPCS believes is how wireless companies should run. Everyone having the same phone options, but not having to choose between wireless providers. Personally, I think they're just butt-chapped because they always get the crummy phone selections. In the end, no matter how much I rant, I believe everything will remain the same. Because if it didn't, then would this really be the United States of America?

BOGO BlackBerry

About a week a go a mega sale started happening at vzw. BOGO free any blackberry. Wow. now I know there would be a sale like this and here's my top 2 list as to why:
1. VZW wants to try and bring all BlackBerry devices to go out of stock. Why? New BlackBerry's!!
2. Verizon Wireless require their customers to a have data plan minimum $29.99. More BlackBerry users = more money, revenue. Personally, I think that verizon wireless is doing their part to keep the economy going.
